What to know about the Gaza peace plan agreed to by Trump and Netanyahu

Hundreds of years. And thousands of years. We're going to at least be very, very close. And I think we're going to be very close. And I want to thank Bibi. We did a good job together.

As we have with many other countries, we're both with many other countries, which is the only way out of this whole situation.

It gets resolved. And I'm not just talking about Gaza. Gaza is one thing, but we're talking about beyond Gaza.

The whole deal. Everything getting resolved is called peace. In the Middle East. So today is a historic day for peace. And Prime Minister Netanyahu. And I just concluded. A very important meeting on many important issues. Including Iran. Trade. Expansion

Abraham. The agreement and most importantly, we discussed how to end the war and Gaza, but that's just part of the bigger picture, which is peace in the Middle East.

And that's called lasting peace in the Middle East. So, this is uh, more than anyone expected. But the support I've received from Israel and Israel's neighbors in the Middle East and around it has been incredible.

Incredible, every one of them 1. This afternoon. After extensive consultations with my friends and partners throughout the region. I'm releasing my principles for peace first, which people have loved so much.

I must say this. And these are done, not just done routinely, they are done with them. Considering the whole and working with the nations that we're talking about. All of these nations have contributed to them.

What to know about the Gaza peace plan advanced by Trump:

I want to thank the leaders of many Arab and Muslim countries for their overwhelming support. Europe has been very involved in developing this proposal, along with many of our allies in Europe.

And as many European leaders called me, most of them said, Is this true? Are you really doing this? Peace in the Middle East? This is the most incredible thing

that we have ever heard. Some think this is the greatest thing they have ever heard. They call just to find out.

Was it just a rumor or is it?

What exactly? And then they said, Have you spoken to the Arab leaders? Have you spoken to all the other leaders to get us to the people involved in this? I also want to thank the Prime Minister.

Netanyahu for agreeing to the plan and for. Trusting that if we work together, we can end the death and destruction that we have seen for decades, even centuries. And start a new chapter of peace and prosperity for the entire region.

And I, uh, just want to say, my meetings and the dialogue that we have with. Oh, so many countries. For example, in Saudi Arabia, Thaksin is an extraordinary person. They are incredible people.

Who is the Emir of Qatar?

You, and that MBS. We are fully involved. These are the people that we have dealt with. And who have actually been very involved in this. Negotiations. Giving us ideas, things, they can live with. They can't live with pretty complex.

I mean, later. 2000 and 3,000 years, whatever it is, I guess it would be a little complicated, or it would have been a long time ago. The King of Jordan was with us. As you know, at the United Nations. The President of. Turkish President Erdogan is my friend. Strong man. But a good man. The President of Indonesia, someone who is amazing. Leader of the POA.

What to know about the Gaza peace plan agreed to by Trump:

He is an amazing leader, and everyone respects him. He was in the room with us. We were with most of the people that others are mentioning. By phone, or the next day.

The Prime Minister and the Field Marshal. They were from Pakistan. They were with him, from the beginning. Really incredible. They just made a statement that they believed him completely. Peck, this just came out as I was walking, they said,

Sir, you have a big notice from the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Field Marshal to come back, this is 100%. The President of Egypt, LCCC, is fantastic? And these are the people. I have known him for years. I mean, I will say this.

Started around 2015 and then went into 2016 when the presidency officially started. But I have known him for a long time, actually. And there are many cases. Really great

And I can't say in all cases, but I will tell you in many cases that he is a great man. And some great women, too. They are mostly men. However, I will say this. But, if this proposal is accepted by Hamas, then all are demanded to be released.

The rest of the hostages, immediately, but in no case more than 72 hours. So, the hostages are going to come back, and I hate to say it.

The point doesn't seem right, but it is. Very important to the parents, the bodies of the young people, I believe, in almost all cases, the young people are coming back.

I met the parents with their parents. They did it like the boy was alive and well. It is very important to him. And it means an immediate end to the war. Not just Gaza. This is the worst selfishness under the Arab and Muslim plan. The countries have promised. And in writing

In many cases, I will actually speak for them. The people I mentioned I take their word for it. Demilitarization. Gaza. And it is early. Decommission Hamas' military capabilities and all others. Terrorist organizations.

Do this immediately, and we are relying on the countries that I named and others to deal with Hamas. And I am hearing this. Hamas wants. Do this. And that is a good thing. And destroy all the terrorists, infrastructure, including the weapons of mass destruction.

Have Trump and Netanyahu really agreed on a Gaza?

They have a lot of production facilities, facilities that were being destroyed. They will also help. Oh, the train. Local police forces. In the areas that we are discussing now.

Working particularly with the new transitional authority in and around Gaza, all parties will agree on a timeline for the withdrawal of the agreed forces.

In stages they will withdraw in stages. No more shooting, hopefully. As progress is made towards achieving them.

The objectives need to be allowed the Arab and Muslim countries. The opportunity to fulfill those promises to deal with Hamas. They have to deal with them because they were a group that we did not deal with.

I did not deal with them. Oh, but the Arab countries are going to. And the Muslim countries are going to be. Deal with. Hamas and I believe they are already there. I think they probably have the sense

And they haven't mentioned it, but I would imagine they do or they wouldn't have gone as far as they have. If they're unable to do that, Israel has every right and in fact has our full backing.

Banking back here at Marcos. And many of our leaders are here. Our great Vice President, Susie Wells, Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner they've been so involved in this process, I don't think anyone else could

or even come close. But it's, we're there. We're there for the first time. And thousands of years, I think you could probably say, if you really think about it,

if you study it again, if you're a scholar. You'd say thousands of years. Back in Israel, I'd have my downfall. Finish the job. Destroy. Threaten Hamas, but I

hopefully, we're going to make a deal for peace. And if Hamas rejects the deal, that is always possible. They are the only ones left; everyone else is acceptable. But, oh, I have a feeling we will have a positive response.

But if not, as you know, Bibi, you will have more support to do what you have to do. Everyone understands that the end result should be the end of any threat. The threat is in the region and, because of the threat. Hamas's atrocities

Leaders in the Middle East and Europe welcome Trump's:

Terrorism has to end, and it is again. Oh, something that we are looking for. It is eternal. It is forever. To ensure the success of this effort, my plan calls for a new creation.

An international supervisory body, the Board of Peace, we call it the Board of Peace, a beautiful name, the Board. Of peace, which will be chaired by. Note my request. Believe me, I am very busy, but we have to make sure that this works.

Uh, the leaders of the Arab world and Israel, and everyone is involved. I have to do it. So it will be chaired by a gentleman known as Donald J. Trump, President of the United States.

That is what I want. There is some extra work to do, but it is so important that I am willing to do it. And do it right? And we are going to put leaders of other countries and leaders who are very distinguished leaders. And we will have a board, and 1 people who want it.

The former British Prime Minister Tony Blair Goodman is on the board, a very good man, and there are a few others and they will be named in the next few days. And that will work out quite a bit, now everyone wants to be on it.

I don't know if he had anything to do with it. He's not me, and everyone wanted to be on it, I guess they think oh, he's a soft touch, he's easy to deal with. Working with the World Bank and others, it will be responsible for recruitment and training. I

A new government that will be made up of Palestinians. Highly educated experts from all over the world. Hamas and other terrorist factions will have no role on the board, but they will have no role in governing Gaza.

Directly, or indirectly, as you know? Thousands, Hamas. Leaders have been killed. And soldiers. And we can never forget October 7, but thousands of people paid the price.

And now it's time for us to get our hostages back and try to build something really great and very important. Today in our meeting, Prime Minister N. is very clear about his opposition. To a Palestinian. State, and he keeps mentioning October 7,

And I understand that. Most people do. And I understand. And respect. His position on a lot of things, what he's doing today, is very good for Israel.

And I see big crowds of them gathering in Israel all the time. And they've named me, they like me for whatever reason, kids. I don't know,

What to know about the Gaza peace plan advanced by Trump:

But they like me, but oh, they say 2 things, please return the hostages and end the war. They have. He has. So I think that's a very popular thing with you.

Because he's a fighter. He doesn't know about. Oh, going back to normal life. But he's a fighter and Israel is lucky. But now people want to return to peace, they want to return to normal. In a real sense. Several

countries were foolish enough to recognize a Palestinian state. As you know, some of our European friends. Allies are good people. But, they really are, I think they're doing it because they're so tired of what's been going on for decades

. Presidents and prime ministers for years. And during that time, with the Middle East, what they've been doing is talking about the same thing over and over again.

They want to see it back. And nobody wants it. It wants it more than I do or I believe. Bibi too. But the people of Israel want it. Do they really want it? They want the hostages back.

That includes. Maybe 32 bodies. That's what we're talking about. 20 people who are alive. 32 or more people who are dead. And they want peace. So let's not forget how we got here.

Hamas. It was elected by the Palestinian people. Israel withdrew from Gaza thinking they would. Live in peace. You remember a long time ago? They backed down, they said. You

Take it, this is our partnership. For peace, but it didn't work. It didn't work. It was the opposite of peace. They pulled away, they took it. And I've never forgotten that, because I said

that it didn't look good to me. As a real estate person, I mean, they gave up the sea. Right? Ron? They gave up the sea, said Who's going to make this deal?

And it still didn't work. They were actually very generous and they gave up the most magnificent. A piece of land in the Middle East, in many ways, and they said that's all we want to do now.

Peace be upon you, and that was the request that was not honored. Instead of building a better life for the Palestinians and the masses, they diverted resources to build over 400 miles of tunnels and the infrastructure of Tara.

Rocket manufacturing, facilities, and hiding their military command posts and launch sites. In hospitals, schools, and mosques. So if you want to go after them, uh, it's going to be after them

And you don't even realize you've knocked down a hospital or a school or a mosque. Horrible. Horrible, horrible way to fight things. No fighting is good

But it's a really bad thing 1. So there are many Palestinians who want to live in peace. I've seen many, many. Many of them have support.

And I challenge the Palestinians to take responsibility for their own destiny because that is what we are giving them. We are giving them responsibility. The total condemnation and prohibition of terrorism for their destiny.

And make their own way to a brighter future. They do not want. The life they have lived, their life with Hamas, has been difficult. If the Palestinian Authority does not complete the reforms that I presented in my vision for peace in 2020.
